D-Teach rolls on: an online training course on circular economy

D-Teach is involved as a partner in the European Horizon 2020 CIRMET project. Within this project, a consortium of various European companies and research institutions is looking for “circular economy” solutions for energy-intensive industries such as the metal industry.

With a circular economy, no finite raw material stocks (such as fossil energy) are exhausted and residual materials are fully re-used in the system. In other words, renewable energy is used and waste is recycled for other applications.

Together with Ghent University, KU Leuven and the University of Mondragon (Spain), D-Teach is responsible for the development of online learning materials. The ultimate goal is to roll out an online platform for the general public, policy makers, employees and students about the CIRMET project results.

Maaike and Joke from D-Teach met the other partners during a consortium meeting in Grenoble (France) in mid-October. And together with colleagues from KU Leuven, they already recorded the key messages of the future online platform.

We’re going to keep on rolling!
