Collaboration with academia

D-Teach initially arose from the student entrepreneurship of educational pedagogues at Ghent University. At D-Teach we think it is important to work together with the academic world to be able to offer our way of online learning in a well-founded and well-considered way.

Maaike, professional development coordinator at D-Teach, spent two months in Australia to study the approach to online learning in the vast country. Australia can be seen as the cradle of online learning because of their long history with distance learning. D-Teach works closely with Griffith University in Australia to exchange ideas and share good practices. In collaboration with the university, a unique pedagogical framework for online learning from D-Teach was developed. – LD, 2017
